One great thing about blogging is that it helps identify eating patterns and habits -- and lately my food choices haven't been very good. I've been feeling anxious/unsettled about some things, and my first instinct is usually to eat something to distract/numb myself. It's such an automatic habit. Even if I tell myself in advance not to eat unless I'm hungry, in that moment when I'm feeling unhappy, tired, worried, etc -- it's so hard for me not to stuff down my feelings with food.
Hi Vicki,
ReplyDeleteHow are you doing? I've found cutting down on carbs is hard too after re-introducing them to my diet. But I wouldn't worry too much about the weight gain - I've gained some back, too, but well-being and health are the best things to take out of the diet ;-)
Hi Melly-Sue!
ReplyDeleteYou are totally right. In my saner moments, I really do prioritize being healthy/fit over being thin. However, every now and then I feel...bad...that I've gained back some of the weight I've lost. I'm still holding steady at 118 lbs...losing these last 3 lbs is taking forever... :)
Hi Vicki! I am an advanced biology student with a mission to find out if the Dukan Diet really does work. Why did you decide to begin following the Dukan diet? Is it working for you? Does it satisfy? On the diet, do you find yourself craving foods either allowed or prohibited by the diet? Do you plan on following the diet indefinitely?
ReplyDeleteI would appreciate it if you could provide me with some insight into the Dukan Diet that I could not receive by simply studying the diet itself, research I could get by interviewing someone with experience following the diet. Thank you.
